While researching what to do for my first trip to Las Vegas, I found the Underground at The Mob Museum. I have always enjoyed a good museum and wanted to check this place out. Initially, the wife was skeptical, but I checked it out. We opted to do the two labs they had. I wish I had known about the distillery tour, as I thought that would have been amazing. I later read there was a speakeasy, but the secret entrance was only from the outside. It was a regular entrance from the inside, which was disappointing. The Museum was enjoyable as it talked about the different mobs throughout the country. It had a lot of things to read on the wall, and it was broken up with small videos to watch, which was nice. Something surprising was that a mobster's son was there to talk about his story and life, which added to the experience. The labs were enjoyable, but my favorite was the shooting, while my wife enjoyed the laboratory one. I don't know why since that is what she does at work. Overall, this place is worth the trip.

When we went to the Mob Museum in Las Vegas last month, we went to the Underground speakeasy located in the basement of the Museum.  It had very nice decor matching the theme, and was very clean and comfortable. It's a very nice place to have a drink and chill out when it was like 108 degrees outside! No one asked for the secret password for entry, that Daughter had ready should they ask.  However, there was a lady checking everyone's ID before entering, as only people 21 or over could enter, so, do prepare to have your ID ready. There were different types of tables and seats available, the 3 of us picked a high top round table.  Since Hubby already had a complimentary beer in their snack department that every father got on Father's Day, he ordered a Bud Light ($8.00).  Daughter ordered an Old Fashioned with the Underground Keepsake ($40, would be $16 for the Old Fashioned only). The Old Fashioned was pre-fixed in a small bottle hidden inside a hollow book, Daughter poured it out herself to the glass filled with ice, so that was kind of fun. They gave her a new hollow book with a new bottle inside as the included keepsake, that was nicely packaged in a box and a bag.  I had a mocktail called the Test Pilot ($9.00), which tasted very good with the right amount of sweetness and was refreshing.  We all enjoyed our drinks. Our waitress was a sweet young lady, who's very attentive and pleasant. We had a good time at the Underground speakeasy, and highly recommend it if you are in the area!

We had a great time! Our favorite was the pretzels! The drinks were good. We liked the ambience and so fun to have to say a password to get in. You don't have to go to the museum to go to the underground fun place to bring your friends!
